I was named web team lead for SuccessFactors.com in January 2015, overseeing a staff that had been reduced from as many 10 people to, at its smallest, three FTEs, while concurrently dealing with a 30 percent budget cut. I was responsible for directing strategy and acquiring and maintaining content for this Silicon Valley hospital's website and its social media properties--Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. I also created and managed content for the hospital's 30-panel digital signage system. I was often called on to develop alternatives to traditional communication mechanisms--for example, creating HTML newsletters to replace printed direct-mail flyers.
